The Coronary Health Improvement Project
An adventure in healthy living that helps YOU take charge of your health. By helping you understand the relationship between lifestyle choices and health, CHIP gives you the tools you need in order to take an active role in preserving and restoring your vibrant health. The CHIP lifestyle program is designed to dramatically reduce your risk and even reverse existing atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries). This silent process in the blood vessels is our #1 killer. If you are overweight, have high blood pressure, diabetes, angina or high cholesterol or wish to avoid these problems, CHIP is for you.

Consider attending if you:
-Desire a Natural Childbirth option
-Seek a combination of approaches to natural childbirth
-Want information about exercise during pregnancy
-Are interested in relaxation exercises
Taught by Jan Croft, MS, LPT, licensed physical therapist and masters level mental health counselor, these 6 weekly 1.5 hour sessions provide a gentle approach to improve your physical conditioning, flexibility and relaxation skills. This program can be started by anyone. Research has shown that the benefits of yoga include: increased flexibility of the neck, back, chest, and shoulders; improved physical strength and function; improved quality of life/inner peace; and decreased side effects from chemotherapy.
