Music Therapy
Music therapy is a profession in which a trained music therapist uses music experiences in order to help people with a variety of problems. Music at The Maple Center will be geared toward people who want to:
1) Manage stress in a healthy way,
2) Develop methods of self-care for maintaining wellness, or
3) Cope with an illness or stage-of-life problem.
Tracy Richardson, PhD, MT-BC

Tracy Richardson has been a music therapist since 1988. She has practiced music therapy with people with mental health concerns, children with development disabilities, adults with cancer, and terminally ill patients. She believes that the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is enriched by the use of music, and that the music and the therapeutic relationship can help a person make progress toward his or her goals.
